Our team brings decades of expertise in pharmacy, digital healthcare and electronic prescription management to HubRx. We are working with independent pharmacy owners like you to develop the first centralised automated pharmacy hub designed specifically for you.
Daniel Lee – HubRx CEO
Daniel is a qualified pharmacist who worked in his family’s independent pharmacy business in Leeds for five years before pioneering the UK online pharmacy industry with the founding of Pharmacy2U.
Over the past 20 years, he has been instrumental in re-engineering pharmacy processes to streamline dispensing using bespoke software and integrating advanced logistics systems to create the largest NHS contracted pharmacy in the UK transforming how patients order and access medicines in the UK.
In 2019 Daniel left Pharmacy2U and has returned to his independent pharmacy roots with the launch of HubRx
Sean Riddell – HubRx Chairman
Sean is the former CEO of EMIS Group plc, a major provider of healthcare software, information technology and related services in the UK.
In 2010, Sean led EMIS’ highly successful flotation on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and under his pioneering stewardship, EMIS was the first clinical system provider to trial EPS with general practitioners.
Sean left EMIS Group in 2013 after 23 years with the company. Since then he has chaired the online GP service Doctor Care Anywhere and was a founder and director of the Spa Retreat – a charitable organisation offering respite to women with life limiting diseases.
Mike Hewitson – HubRx Non-Executive Director
Mike is Superintendent Pharmacist and Managing Director of Beaminster Pharmacy. He was a leading member of the National Pharmacy Association board for eight years. He also served on the board of the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee from 2015 to 2018. Mike is a staunch defender of independent pharmacy, and has run his own business in Dorset for more than a decade.
Jenny Riddell – HubRx Non-Executive Director
Jenny is a qualified nurse who joined EMIS Group in 1991 and became Operations and Marketing Director before retiring from the company. Jenny was a non-executive director of Doctor Care Anywhere and is the founder and director of Spa Retreat. Jenny is currently also a non-exec director of Yellowschedule.com, a HIPAA compliant online scheduling system for therapists.
Mark Pedder – HubRx Commercial Director
Mark joined HubRx from global healthcare company, Abbott, where he led for the commercial team on digital development of its UK toxicology services.
With more than 20 years of pharmacy and digital healthcare experience, Mark began his career supporting community pharmacies to introduce new technology. Later going on to play a key role with Pharmacy2U and the early NHS rollout of EPS with GP surgeries.
At HubRx, he works closely with independent pharmacy owners across the country, as part of the development of our automated dispensing hub – and is enjoying being back at the forefront of pharmacy transformation.
Matthew Tollefson – Chief Finance Officer
Matthew joins the HubRx team from Leeds-based corporate finance firm Sentio Partners. He has also held positions with Mazars, Ernst & Young and is a trustee and treasurer for charity, Simon on the Streets.
Karl Wooldridge – Operations Director
Karl, a pharmacist, brings more than 14 years of automated prescription assembly experience to his new role having held key positions with Phoenix Medical Supplies and Lloyds Pharmacy.
Sarah Passmore – Superintendent Pharmacist
Sarah is our Superintendent Pharmacist and has wide-ranging experience in all aspects of community pharmacy, as well as working previously in a large-scale automated prescription, dispensing environment.
Bryan Chung – Lead Pharmacist
Bryan, pharmacist, joins the HubRx team having previously worked in the community sector at Well Pharmacy for over 10 years. At HubRx, he is the Responsible Pharmacist to oversee and maintain GPhC professional standards within the operational team and the automated facility.
