For Harjinder and the team at Whitefield Pharmacy in Manchester the launch of HubRx couldn’t have come at a more critical time.
Due to staffing shortages and difficulty in recruiting Harjinder says he needed to rethink workflow and the pressures on the business.
“We’d reach the point where we needed to try something new.”
Invaluable support
Which is why in November last year Harjinder switched on the support of HubRx to help dispense the 8,500 prescription items the pharmacy delivers to patients each month.
“The launch of HubRx came at a real time of need for us and it’s been invaluable,” said Harjinder.
“Knowing it’s not all on us has really taken the pressure off.”
Slick, easy and stress-free
Whitefield Pharmacy now uses HubRx to manage dispensing for around 50 per cent of its prescription items. And while trying new things can prove stressful for some, Harjinder is keen to add that it’s simply not been the case working with HubRx.
“The process works well. What they said they could do they’ve done, and the support from day one has been great.
“It’s slick and easy. I can’t fault it.”
A thriving team
Harjinder added: “It’s given us the breathing space we needed to create stability in the pharmacy. We’ve been able to improve staffing and start planning how we can use the capacity we’ve gained to deliver more clinical care and treatment.”
The team at Whitefield Pharmacy has recently appointed a new pharmacist who Harjinder says is “fantastic” and thriving by having the time she needs to carry out more clinical services. Something which he added wouldn’t have been possible before.
Independent approved
Having brought positive change to the pharmacy and helped lower Harjinder’s stress levels, it may not come as much of a surprise that he says he’d recommend HubRx to other independents.
“If I could start all over again and buy a brand-new pharmacy, I would bring HubRx in from day one.”
