It’s been all systems go since we first announced our plans for HubRx in July, including officially welcoming our commercial director, Mark Pedder to the team.
Having spent many years in the healthcare sector, Mark is working closely with independently-owned pharmacies across the country as plans progress for our purpose built automated dispensing hub.
Mark joined us from global healthcare company, Abbott, and has been involved in pharmacy, primary care and digital healthcare for more than 20 years. He tells us more here:
Why I joined the HubRx team
“I started my career in the 90s, helping community pharmacists with the introduction EPoS – so it feels great to be back at the forefront of pharmacy transformation at such a pivotal time for the industry. The HubRx team have a clear vision and the expertise to make hub & spoke technology accessible and commercially viable for independent pharmacy owners – it’s great to be part of that.”
What we’re working on
“There’s been a lot of interest from pharmacy owners since the plans for HubRx were revealed this summer and we’re establishing relationships ahead of the launch of the facility. The creation of a hub & spoke concept that’s specially designed for independents has struck a chord with many pharmacy owners. At a time when pressures on pharmacies and demand for clinical services in the community are growing, so is interest in technology that gives pharmacists a new way to adapt their business for the future.”
Looking ahead
“As we head towards 2021, legislation is progressing through parliament that will give independents the opportunity to work with a specialist dispensing hub facility like ours. So we’re busy behind the scenes developing our technology, partnerships and premises, ready for this. We’ll have more news to share on that soon!”
